Colder weather is approaching which means Leo is growing a nice thick coat.  Which would be great if he got the winter off.  But something tells me he’d be bored with nothing to do.  So Irish clip is the answer this year.  Enough hair is left on to keep him extra toasty under his blankets but his girth/chest/neck areas are now clipped to keep him comfortable in light/moderate work.  Now we don’t have to spend sooo much time drying him off after our rides!  It definitely keeps everyone happier.

Jada’s lucky she doesn’t grow much of a winter coat and misses out on all of the clipping fun!  Maybe next year when the indoor arena is up and we’re still able to do a lot of riding she’ll join the club.
