Yesterday, the Sunday before Christmas, we had our first Holiday Horse Decorating Contest! I am blown away by the creativity that these girls had which really helped the horses display their Christmas spirit! There was glitter and garlands and ornaments and lights–even the next morning there were sparkles everywhere! We handed out metals and prizes for first, second and third in three categories: Creativity, Grooming, Handling and Wild Card. All of the horses were INCREDIBLY patient and looked fabulous.
In addition to the festive ponies we had Christmas music in the background, tons of food and drinks, and a campfire to stay warm (though the weather could NOT have been any better- high 30s?! I’ll take it!). One of the parents even made a Winter-Horse themed cake which turned out absolutely beautiful!
I am so proud of all of my kids and horses. Seeing my growing barn family I feel quite blessed to have such incredible and supportive people in my life. Merry Christmas everyone, and cheers to a great 2020!
