I’m so proud of how quickly Theo is coming along. This giant boy has taken EVERYTHING in stride. When we first picked him up the trailering experience was miserable. Very resistant to get on, panicked, turned around, tried to go under the divider and was a hot, sweaty mess by the time we arrived. After about a week of working with him he now walks right on like it’s nothing new. We also started some trail riding, the first time out he was quite alert and snort-y but by the second time he started to relax and actually enjoy the change of scenery. Walk/trot/canter under saddle is also coming along nicely. A few times lunging with side reigns and he’s already reaching for the bit and going into a lovely frame. We still need to work on consistency but he’s light in the bridle and happy to try just about anything that we throw at him! Check out the videos of this big boy’s progress.
