When you aren’t training you’re untraining but sometimes it’s nice to take a break from ring work and focus on other things. That’s exactly what we did when my mom came to visit!
The sun was out, the breeze was blowing and the horses were excited. The trails are on the property belonging to one of my students- everything is so well maintained and beautiful it was hard to decide where to go. Once Leo realized the zip line WASN’T going to kill him both horses relaxed and we winded our way up one of the paths. And dang, did we do some climbing. We got to a small clearing and took a break- looking out only then did we realize how high up we were! Leo and J certainly seemed to enjoy the change of scenery. Once we returned home all four and two legged creatures were treated to baths, treats and a nice roll in the sand! Such a great day!
